About The Artist

Luis Melendez was born and raised in Fayetteville, North Carolina. Having lived in the same place for all his life, where everything became known and familiar, the only place where anything new and exciting could happen was in the world of his imagination. Within his mind is a whirlwind of thoughts, ideas, and creations that can range from the mundane to the extraordinary, and it is this whirlwind that he translates to the screen in his designs. Like the thoughts in his mind, every project and piece is different, each one developed from sudden strokes of inspiration, gradual building of ideas, or some combination of planning and spontaneity.
